You have questions, we have answers…

General Information

A: Originally diñeiro was build with separate IOS and Android versions. This meant that any new features needed to be built twice.

Creating dosh (starting from scratch) we were able to create IOS and Android versions in a single codebase means we can create more features in less time. It also means that there will be no material difference in features by phone type and we can also ensure to continue to ensure that the security and privacy of our app is always kept to the highest standards without spending a fortune.

A: dosh leverages both the open banking framework as well as several third-party data providers to allow customers to link their institution accounts (bank accounts, credit cards, loans, vehicle financing, mortgages, Super etc) as well as owned vehicles and owned property into a single, easy to use APP.

A: The setup of dosh only takes a few short minutes however it's important not to interrupt the process by closing or switching apps.

  1. Verify Mobile Number
When prompted, enter your mobile number. You will receive an SMS with a 6 digit verification code.

A: Financed Properties
Select your living status (this will be used in future updates), select your primary loan account, enter your address and provide us with the purchased price. Once complete, select any additional loan accounts you want to attach to the property and then save the changes.

Owned Properties
Essentially the same setup as financed properties without having to select any loan accounts…

Changing the price
No satisfied with the price estimate? Our data is the best in the business, but knock-down builds, recent renovations, geographic differences can all impact data quality. To that end, if you are not happy with the estimated price, just click on ‘change value’ and let us know what you think your property is worth.

A: Evolving from our initial app, we now allow you to save for multiple financial goals. Simply select the goal, tell us the total you want to save, the frequency of your contribution (we recommend choosing the same frequency as your pay schedule), the amount you will contribute each period and finally, select the account we should monitor for this goal.

We strongly recommend setting up an account for each savings goal. This is to ensure the accuracy of the progress towards your goal.

A: Your Trusted advisor will have access to your general financial data – with your permission of course. This information is largely made up to current balances, property equity & LVR details and categorised expenses however, they won’t have detailed transactions or data insights.

To share a comprehensive PDF of your data, simply access the tools drawer menu and select ‘share financial data’. Select the number of months you want to share and choose your trusted advisor from a list. Finally, click send and we will generate our comprehensive financial data report with a copy stored in your document section.

A: Access the hamburger menu and select ‘accounts’. You will be presented with a list of all accounts, loans, credit cards, investments, super, properties and vehicles. You have the choice of removing the item from being visible and part of the calculations or, permanently deleting it.

A: Have conversations with your Trusted advisor in a secure instant messaging format. Create topics for conversation and get instant updates. No more searching through emails to find information when you have it all in one secure place.

A: Get a variety of articles to topics like RBS announcements, responses to advertised offers from lenders, new service offerings from your Trusted Advisor and more…

A: Don’t rely on basic and insecure email to send documents. Use our fully encrypted and secure online storage and manage them through our pre-build and customisable folder structure. Access the document management system through the dosh app or through our web portal. Sharing your documents with your Trusted advisor has never been easier.

Security & Privacy

A: Yes. We have completed our ASAE3150 certification and were passed by Assurance Labs (a third-party assessor), Yodlee (our primary data partner) and the ACCC.

A: All data is geo-restricted to Australia on our AWS (Amazon) hosting environment. We do not store any bank login details, consumer identification data and transactional data in two separate and encrypted databases. When a request is made from the app, the data is transmitted in an encrypted format and is only decrypted when it reaches for your phone.

Because we do not allow transactions in our app at any time for any reason, and we encrypt at rest, in transit and at the app level, you can be assured that your data is safe with us.

A: All in-app messages and content distribution happen within our encrypted environment so any communication never leaves our servers.Documents are encrypted at the source and stored on our systems in separate encrypted database accessible only to Trusted Advisors, their approved staff and the clients.

A: Yes. We have held cybersecurity insurance since March of 2021 as well as liability and indemnity insurance. All policies are up-to-date and renewed each year.
